Here at Surfleet Saplings Nursery we look forward to welcoming our youngest learners into the Surfleet family. We offer high-quality early years provision for children aged 3 and 4 years.
At our nursery, we believe that every child deserves the very best start to their educational journey. We provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued, and are confident to learn, explore and grow. Our aim is to create memorable early experiences that help children develop a love of learning, build independence and flourish as individuals. Outdoor Learning and Exploration
Outdoor learning is an important part of life at Surfleet Primary School.
Our nursery children enjoy regular opportunities to explore the outdoors, investigate nature and develop their physical skills through play. We make the most of our extensive grounds and natural environment, encouraging children to develop curiosity, creativity and a sense of wonder about the world around them.

We firmly believe that a child's success is built on a strong partnership between home and school.
We work closely with families to ensure every child feels supported and celebrated throughout their nursery journey. Regular communication, shared experiences and opportunities for involvement help us create the very best start for your child.
Nursery Sessions
We understand the importance of flexible childcare for modern families.
To support parents and carers, Surfleet Saplings Nursery offers:
- Funded 15-hour and 30-hour places
- Wraparound care from 7.30am until 6.00pm (not funded, additional cost applies)
- Government-funded Breakfast Club provision through the Best Start in Life initiative
- A range of age-appropriate enrichment and extra-curricular activities
