Our Hockey Superstars

Being active, having fun and achieving in sport are important aspects of our curriculum and also break times at Surfleet Primary School.

We want our children to know what it is like to be part of sporting competitions. We think it is valuable to learn how it feels to win and lose, how to be part of a team and how to be gracious in victory and defeat.

We are really fortunate that the local schools’ hockey tournament is held at Glen Park, Surfleet, a 10-minute walk from our school. This golden opportunity to attend a competitive tournament five times a year ensures our PE curriculum and after school club offer provides great opportunities for all of our children to develop the skills they need to play in a team.

This year, we have had a geal deal of success thanks to the commitment and development of the whole hockey squad. As our team always covers multiple year groups, it is fantastic to see their achievements, which have built on the past few seasons of hard work.
