Personal Development & Curriculum Experience

Surfleet Primary School values the importance of on-site curriculum experiences and off-site educational visits. The experiences are carefully chosen to enrich pupils' learning and bring the curriculum to life.
We aim to give the children a residential experience at least once during their time with us. This kind of unique experience supports children to learn about themselves and others in an unfamiliar environment and completing unfamiliar tasks that further develop the key characteristics of perseverance, resilience and teamwork. Memories for life are made on such a visit.

In order to make educational visits affordable for all, we often take our whole school on an off-site trip. We also visit our local area frequently to enhance our children’s sense of belonging.  Whilst we are not a church school, we value the role our church has within our community and this forms the perfect venue for many of our end of term celebrations, such as the Christingle and Easter Services.
