Our values of ‘Work hard - Be Kind - Achieve’ encapsulate our ethos at Surfleet Primary School. Our school is a happy and safe place to make friends and learn!
We have high expectations, of both children’s learning and behaviour to ensure they can achieve their individual potential whilst developing respect and consideration for others and enabling them to have a positive impact on the community in which they live.
We believe that children are given one chance at primary school education and it is our responsibility to make that count. We create memorable experiences whilst laying firm foundations for their future learning. We teach our children to be resourceful learners, be kind, friendly and confident individuals, and to recognise their achievements in all areas.
Our staff know all of our children so well. We are able to nurture each child’s individual interests and attributes, supporting them to make progress and achieve their best.
School Development Priorities
2025 - 2026
In order to maintain the high standards we have at Surfleet Primary School, it is important that each year we identify those areas we continue to excel in as well as those areas that need to be developed.
For 2025/2026, there are three priorities for development in our vision for Surfleet Primary School.
Priority 1:
Raise outcomes in Reading and Maths with a particular focus on key marginal pupils so they achieve in line with national. (PiXL).
Priority 2:
Raise outcomes in writing across the school.
Priority 3:
Marketing of the school within the wider local community to secure pupil numbers for the future.
