Vision and Values

Surfleet Primary School is a small, friendly village school. We are blessed to have a wonderful old building set in beautiful grounds. We embrace our natural environment through our curriculum and ensure that children have a thorough appreciation and strong relationship with the community in which they live.

At Surfleet we believe that children get one chance and it is our responsibility to make that count. We want to create memorable experiences whilst laying firm foundations for their future learning. We teach our children to be resourceful learners, be kind, friendly and confident individuals and to recognise their achievements in all areas. We have high expectations, of both children’s learning and behaviour to ensure they can achieve their individual potential whilst developing respect and consideration for others and enabling them to have a positive impact on society.

Our school motto ‘Work hard, Be Kind, Achieve’ encapsulates our ethos. Our small numbers mean that we have high adult to pupil ratios and are able to nurture each child’s individual interests and attributes. No website can convey the ethos or feel of a school.
